Autumn is umm...coming up roses? O_o

Dress:  Maeve In a Twinkling Dress (Anthropologie, can't find a damn thing similar. Fail.)
Cardigan: B.P. pink v-neck cropped cardigan (Nordstrom, similar here in the ballet color)
Belt:  Midas Braids Belt (Anthropologie, similar here, kinda sorta)
Shoes:  BCBG Generation Patent Tinas Pumps in Chai (Nordstrom, similar here in a tan color but not patent, and here in patent, but not a tan color. ><)
Necklace: At First Sight Rose Necklace (Ruche. Buy it here)

A crazy thing happened today--Oregon got sunshine!  In...October!  And it was warm outside, too! I spent as much time scratching my head at the weather as I did planning this outfit of the day, but when all was said and done, I was kind of happy with the warm weather, because it gave me an excuse to wear the In a Twinkling dress, which I haven't had a chance to show off yet.  This dress seriously itches the hell out of my shoulders and legs, but the cuteness factor is totally worth it.  God, as a child (the tomboy that I was), I could have never foreseen the day when I would choose fashion over function, but here I am, 4.5 inch heels and all, basking in the golden-hued and pink glory of today's outfit.  Never you mind that I had to take these shoes off almost immediately. ;)

Oh--one last note:  the necklace I'm wearing, you can't see so well in the picture, but I absolutely adore and love it to pieces.  I highly recommend buying it before it goes out of stock at Ruche!

Review: Pink Studio Wakoko Open-Toe Pumps

I was going to start this post off with saying something about myself, but I realized that 1.) nobody reads the blog yet, so nobody needs to know anything about me and 2.) if anyone does eventually decide to read this blog (or stumbles across it accidentally) they will eventually figure out nearly all there is to know about me, because I'm a pretty open book.  So I'm not going to start off by saying anything about myself.  Instead, I'm going to review a pair of shoes I purchased recently, the Wakoko open-toe pumps by Pink Studio.

I purchased these babies from Endless.com, with free overnight shipping (love that!) for $86.00, and I have to say, they've already been worth every penny!  The color is a lovely mauve-ish, which goes perfectly with Floreat's Babergh Dress (from Anthropologie) and I actually wore them with this dress for a wedding recently and received tons of compliments!  The shoes have a 3 1/4 inch heel, which makes them much more comfortable than most of my heels, and I wore them for 5+ hours with no pain at all.  The peep-toe cut out doesn't aggravate my feet at all, and I give these shoes high marks for comfort.

My only issue?  The heel slips a little bit when I walk.  I remedied this by putting in some Foot Petals' Heavenly Heelz. After the inserts were put in, the shoes felt wonderful, and no more slipping!

I'd highly recommend these to anyone who own the Babergh dress and can't for the life of them figure out which shoes to wear with it, and for anyone else who needs some comfortable shoes for work or a night out.

OOTD: First thing's first

Cardigan:  City Garden Cardigan by Tiny (Anthropologie)
Belt:  Midas Braids Belt (Anthropologie)
Tank:  B.P. Basics double scoop neck tank in white (Nordstrom. Buy it here.)
Jeans:  Brett Super Skinny Jeans in vintage dark wash (Abercrombie & Fitch.  Buy them here.)
Shoes:  Lucky Penny Wishbone wedges (Anthropologie.  Buy them here.)
Puppy:  Dexter the Jack Russell Terrier, 14 weeks today!

My first OOTD post here on the blog!  The tank is a little bit sheer, but oh well. ;p Just pretend me and my boyfriend's room in the background is clean, too.

I am so excited about fall weather finally!  I had fun wearing all my sundresses in the summer (June was my sundress month.  I wore a different dress every day of the month) but now, I can't wait for cardigans, sweaters, and super cute jackets.  Fall is my favorite season, and I can't wait to relish it.
